I have a ck30 gear and was wondering, how big of a box blade I can use. I have borrowed a 6 foot, and it covers the tracks nicely, but I was just wondering what everybody else likes??? Also is the rear folding blade as nice as the difference in price?

Your 30 Hp should pull a 6 ft box balde depending on the soil and how deep the rippers are down. The advantage of the Hinge back is usually tey are heavier and dig deeper quicker. You don't get the dirt and debris builup as you do between the two rear Fixed blades..

All box blades are not created equal. You can get a light or medium weight 6 foot blade that you could most likely use just fine, depending on your circumstances. Then you could get a industrial 6 footer that you most likely could not even come close to using to its potential. I think that a lot of people get what will cover their tracks or maybe just a little wider.
I have a 66" Rollover Gannon for my Mahindra 3215HST. I would consider it to be of a heavy medium weight build, and the 3215 handles it fine. The 3215 comes with a 60" loader bucket, so I am just a little wider than that.

There have been many discussions about that swinging rear blade. Some like it and some don't. As you can tell from my post and pic, I don't worry about it.

Get a Woods - I prefer to have the box blade at least as wide as the FEL bucket..the hinged blade works very well - once you take the time to get the learning curve down and adjust the top link as needed for what you may choose to do. I read the 3RR had once used a box blade to dig rows for a food plot - so this weekend I did just that - short top link with shanks all the way down and....yes you can even plow with a box blade..now I just wish I had a TNT to go with my Woods HB 84.
Yes they do 'plow' very well and pretty deep if you got the HP to pull. I found one of our telephone wires earlier this year while getting a garden space loosened up for the first time.
