Box Scraper Plans & Cutting Edge / Shank

I've been searching for plans and parts to build a Box Scraper (with Wheels behind Box Blade controlled by Remote Cylinder).
Something sililar to this:

Is there a URL or source for Plans? Would the FFA or local AG Classes have such plans available?

Also needed would be reasonable priced Shanks and Cutting Edges for 6' Width Box Scraper. Does anyone have, or know of
Sources with reasonable prices?

I did some searching on this subject last year didn't turn up much. Decided to add running gear with two cylinders to my Gannon box blade. I had hoped to have this finished by now but have had too much other work on my plate. Will have this done very soon I hope.

Do you have the materials on hand for most of the construction? Pulling it with the CA? What is your intended use for it, more details would help us help you.

Yes, I have a lot of junk Iron, but would have to buy the 1/4" plate. I've got Welders and machine tools to do the
rest of the work.

Nope, I still have my CA's, but I've just received my new Kioti DK40SE 4WD Shuttleshift Tractor (41 HP). I've grown to love it so far.
Only one negative to the tractor so far. (Fuel Tank is hard to refill with the 5 Gal Plastic Jugs, without using a funnel.)

I've just finished moving into a new home, and need to do some landscaping. I thought about just buying a Box Blade, but
a friend suggested the Box Scraper type. He has one I can borrow, and I'll likely do that, but I want to make one, so I can
do more work later. I'm thinking that the Box Scraper with wheels would do a much better job of making my ground level,
versus the typical box blade.

I'll call the Local AG Instructors Tuesday and see what they can offer. I saw a home built unit at a local gas station, but didn't
have the time to get the guy's information. I should have taken the extra few minutes.

Congratulations on the new home Larry.

Have you considered building a land plane grading scraper? I find they work great for smoothing lawns and pastures. While the most common use is for driveway maintenance I use mine for the lawns and pastures. A 3ph box blade and a land plane is a good combination and the land plane is easy to build.

If you are going to build a box blade here's what I did. I built the blade to fit close to the lower links on the three point hitch. I never thought of ripper teeth or I might have added that too. Sixteen inches or so behind the blade I mounted a full width roller. Everything is welded solid and I use the hydraulic top link to adjust the depth of cut. Turning with a full load of dirt is sometimes a challenge but for the most part it works very well. I can post pictures if someone is interested. The blade isn't very pretty but I'll get over it.

Do google search or even on here for KILFER blade. Should get you lots of pics and ideas. I have a 6 foot box blade I'm fixing to convert to a KILFER type but am going to make the tongue removable so I can still use it as a 3 point type as well.
