Can a boxblade be adjusted to crown a road? I'm refering to a plain boxblade. I noticed an extra hole on 3 point hitch that seems like the boxblade might be higher on one side if one side of attachment is moved to the higher spot. I don't have any idea if this would work or would I break or bend something if I try such a thing. I am wondering if I want a low priced blade or if I want to go for something with a few bells and whistles.

Cheers

Just extend the right side adjuster for the 3pt arm. That will drop the right side of the box. Have the right tires in the right side shoulder and it will dig that side down, resulting in a crown.

Exactly what John said.
Adjust your side link on your 3pt so one side of the box blade is lower than the other. Here's a photo showing how the box is lower on the right. Mine is exaggerated because I was cutting a shallow gutter with it.

Short of height adjustment on the scarifiers, no. It's the tractor lift linkage - the two lower lift arms and adjustable toplink - that are adjusted to manipulate the boxblade angle of attack

Having to do this manually every once in a while sure makes me want to have TNT on my L2800. Next purchase.

Yep... "Good enough" comes at a much rougher stage when you have to climb off the tractor for every adjustment.

Thanks all for the answers. Question for DaBear; what is a TNT?

Top n Tilt. The top link and one lift linkage are replaced with hydraulic cylinders you can control from the seat. Requires two rear remotes.

Tri-Nitro-Toluene. You use it when the scarifiers won't penetrate....
