I have a 5525 Mahindra with a Bradco 509 backhoe that was custom mounted by dealer as the 5525 does not come with a backhoe. The dealer quoted me a price with bh and so he had to have a custom frame made. I have a total of 67 hrs on the unit, did 50 hr service of filter, the screen in bottom of tranny and tranny fluid change, using Napa premium fluid as advised by my dealer. The front loader works fine, as before, but the backhoe bucket is SLOW to open. I noticed this before the oil change from time to time. I have been able to lift the rear wheels of the ground with the out riggers, but now it wont lift high enough to clear ground, but enough to stable tractor. I can lift front end with loader that is the same hydraulic pump and reservoir. The boom swings and extends strong and fast as before so the bucket is the only concern and the out riggers.

Q.1. Is there an exterior regulator that can/needs to be adjusted?
Q.2 If I want to place a pressure gauge in line where should/could it be installed?
Q.3. I believe my manual states the pressure for that model's hydraulic is 2200 psi and is that sufficient?
All the hydraulics is original and I have not tampered or added any valves or such so dont know why on control works but the others showing lack of full performance.

The tractor came with 3 yr warranty/100 hrs and it has expired as I have another tractor that I use mainly and the 5525 for digging, stumps and moving dirt so I dont have many hours on it as you can see. I am mechanically inclined, have rebuilt many motors in my days, but hydraulic systems on tractors are somewhat new as not had any problems in past.

You can install a 3000 psi pressure gage in the IN port of the BH valve using a tee.

It will then read any pressure the BH makes.

If only one cyl is weak, the I would do a test of the cyl for leaking seals.

The speed of operation is based on the GPM.

Some BH have restrictors in the circuits to limit flow.

If you know what your tractor flow is, then you can remove a hose on the bucket cyl and see if you have the same flow.

The 2200 psi you mentioned , is that the tractor psi or the BH psi.

That does seem kind of low.
