Can anyone tell me about the bradco backhoes..Does anyone have the 3375 3point or the 3375 subframe. The dealer is pretty proud of the 3 point and says its all I'll ever need..another fella says never buy a 3 point it will snap your tractor in half..I have a new Kabota 3130..Thanks

Some people swear by their 3pt hitch backhoes, but I personally wouldn't want one unless I have a huge utility tractor.
Just judging from the dance my subframe mounted BH can cause, I know there's a LOT of stress there and I wouldn't want it on my 3pt. especially with me on it!
There are lots of stories of tractors breaking in half because of 3pt. BH use.

Nope, can't tell you about that brand, but in the course of waiting for my subframe I've had to run my BH mounted to the 3pt. and done some seious digging. Haven't snapped the tractor in two yet but a BH sure can generate some force! My dealer told me the same thing yours told you, and that if the tractor was ever damaged from normal backhoe use, he'd fix it for free. I'd opt for the subframe if I were you, even if you have to wait for it to come in. My own paranoia has proven unfounded (so far!) for my combination of equipment.

Thanks..I will go for the subframe..I wish the Kubota BH90 wasn't so heavy (1900) I think its the only Kubota backhoe that has a subframe..You and Charlie have helped me make that decision..Now ..All I have to do...is just find the right one..

The BH90 would be fine on your tractor. I have the Woods 9000 and subframe on my L3130. I went with Woods because it was cheaper and better than the Bota hoe at the time. The BH90 is pretty much on par with the 9000 though. The comparable Bradco hoe has a tad more reach etc..

I've got in plenty of hours with the hoe as well building our house. Septic systems, french drains, conduits, culverts, etc..

I have a Bradco 3375 with the sub frame mount although it has the Mahindra name on it.

Unless all you are going to be digging in is sand and not any hard soils or in rough terrain I would go for the sub frame. You can really get to moving the tractor around when your digging or pulling stumps, and my 2810HST with the FEL is over 3500 pounds.

I think any of the better back Hoes will do you a good job, but it seems that with BH you get what you pay for, So for me price isn't the desiding factor in a BH.

The part I liked the best with the Bradco and subframe on the Mahindras is you don't loose any ground clearance on the tractor. I don't know if that is the case with other machines that use the Bradco hoe with subframe.

That too.. is great info..Do you know which hoe bradco would consider equal with the BH90 or the 900. I will look into the woods 900 and put it high on the list if it has worked that well for you. Can you tell me what your approx. costs were. Thanks

Where are you located? A guy up the road from me has a Woods 9000 for sale w/ subframe. He had two that looked identical. I've seen at least one mounted on his Kubota. I'm not sure what model tractor however. If you're in New England I could always get a phone # if you're interested.

The Bradco 509 would be the closest comparison but digs a few inches deeper and a tad bit more power.

The 9000 was under 7200 w/ 12 and 24" buckets vs 8k for the less powerfull Bota unit(not the BH90). Same type a deal on the FEL, the Woods 1016 was less expensive and more powerful at the time.

I dont know much about Bradco except what Ive read about them when I was backhoe shopping. I do know that theyve got a good reputation.
About the subframe/3 PT issue. I went through the same thing last year. I decided to get the 3 PT attached backhoe (Kubots 4690) for my L3130. Ive got about 30 hours on the bh with no problems at all. I got this bh because I wanted a self contained hydro system which the BH90 doesnt have.
Im not concerned about the tractor snapping in half as much as the stress thats put on the 3PT hitch brackets. The reason Im not worried about breaking the tractor in two is because its already got a subframe tieing the rear axle to the loader freme. Thats one of the reasons I bought this particular model tractor.
All that being said, I wish I wouldve got the BH90 for the extra power, reach and solidity of a hard mount.
If I had it to do again, I would spend a little more and get a used mini excavator.
