My quest to insure Mahindra will never send me an Owner's Club hat continues.... today I am hacking into my START circuit... It came from the factory with a ' pedal neutral switch ' and the PTO relay not energized in series to keep you from cranking it. I cut the neutral switch out of the circuit and made it actuate a relay... and that relays N.O. contact is now in series with the old PTO relay for getting it to start. Circuit is powered by the BRAKE LIGHT circuit. Now, besides being in neutral and having the PTO off, the brakes have to be applied to start. The offshoot is, the sonalert [ actually a loud backup beeper ] will sound off anytime you try to push either the forward or reverse pedals when the brakes are still applied... one of my big failings in life as an operator... I also replaced my PTO switch with a large heavy duty aftermarker Jeep lighted rocker switch. The light in it was kind of wimpy... so I added a super bright LED about an inch or so up from the rocker. The orignal light had burnt out on the stock switch from multitude of cycling turning my snow blower on and off.. mostly a smashing motion with my big thick winter mits on. And I didn't have and extra $46 or so to replace the stock switch. So..... no hat for me....
