brake plates on 2120

I am in the process of purchasing a 1993 Ford 2021 (1500 hours). The owner showed me the brake plates which he changed this past summer. I was quite surprised; I thought a brake system bathed in oil lasts for ever. Does anyone know if there was a brake defect with this model?

NO, everything will wear, only in a oil bath it will wear slower.
Like a clutch in a oil bath will wear much slower as a dry one.
But 1500h is quite fast /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Maybe is the tractor used with heavy loads /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
