Maybe pictures would help green and red man.

Sorry, I don't have any pics. Just happened to be in the area, which is now hundreds of miles from where I live and was in a hurry to get back. The tractor is located in a place where it's not easily seen from the highway.

My keen tractor sensing eyes tuned me in to it.:)

To my fellow tractor addicts: I have bad news to report.:( There was an individual who works very close to the location where I spotted the behemoth. After making a third phone call to ask if she had stopped by to take a closer look for me, she finally did so, but the tractor is now gone.:(

Yesterday, she asked a resident there ,while I was on the phone, about the tractor. It sounds as though he thinks that maybe it was a Minneapolis Moline. She knows very little about tractors, so her answer to me may have been an incorrect translation. Her reply back to me after asking the other person, sounded like it was a M-O-L-I-N-A.:confused3: I asked if he meant Minneapolis Moline, but she wasn't sure. The guy that appeared to know had already left the building, so she couldn't ask him again to be certain.

I found out who owns the land where the machine was located and was told that they are going to try and put me in contact with him. Maybe we'll know something more at a later date.

The location is in far West Texas where it's nice and toasty right now,(HOT) if you like that sort of weather.

mine mo 4wd.jpg

"The first Minneapolis-Moline 4wd the A4T-1400 was introduced in 1969 . Minneapolis-Moline 4wds departed from the M-M gold paint scheme to a red. The only yellow M-M 4wds produced were made for a select few dealers in Minnesota. M-M 4wds were produced through 1972. From 1974 the A4T-1600 4wd was offered as the White Plains man. In 1974 the red A4T was replaced by the White 4-150."

Very interesting. Thanks for that info. I remember seeing some of the red MM's at an auction.

Maybe I'll hear from the former owner soon.
