Brand New Kioti DS3510 Arrived on the weekend

After owning and operating a Fordson Power Major for the last 10 years the time came for me to invest in a new tractor and settled on the Kioti DS3510, FEL 4 in 1 bucket and slasher. Whilst the Old Fordson never let me down with no ROPs and brakes it was time for retirement. The dealer MD tractors and Machinery in Vic were excellent; they gave me a full induction and full tank of Gas and included a counter weight already loaded so I could get to work straight away. Still getting used to it but already knocked up 15hrs over the long weekend and feeling pretty pleased with the decision to go with Kioti.

Congrats! Have any pics of the plumbing for the 4-1 and the controls for it? Im getting ready to order a DS3510with a backhoe, and am debatting getting a 4-1 now or possibly doing a grapple bucket down the road...

Yeah I'll get a photo on tonight or tomorrow. The 4-1 control is the joy stick with the button on the top of the grip. I have seen others with two buttons to run the 4-1 though. Using it as it is with mine I have to make sure of my grip as if I grab the top of the joy stick I can accidently engauge the 4-1 and drop the load. Just a technique I think as I'm new to having a FEL. My one came with the 4-1 as standard ( I think the dealer advised me that is how Kioti are bring them in now) so all of the pumbing is at the front. I've read where people have added the fuction from the rear remotes, however your would be occupied with the backhoe.

Not Hydro geared, things down under are always a little...lot more expensive down under for some reason so I could justify the extra cost. Chainsaws are the same a Stihl MS660 in Oz retails for around $1800-& $2000 not sure what the DS3510 is over there but judging by the comments you guys are getting your tractors a lot cheaper than us, but like I said it goes that way for everything own here!

Wow, pricey! My Stihl MS441CM with a 32" bar and 2 full skip full comp chains was $900. The DS3510 I am about to order is going to cost me $27,500 for the FEL, backhoe and a Gearmore box scraper, and that price includes delivery, thats with 0%/60 months. It would be $4100 less if i paid cash or did 5.5% interest over 60 months.

Mine has just reached 500hrs and still looks and goes like new.

Not always easy to compare prices in different countries.
North America is a much bigger market with huge volumes , more competition and lower labour costs.
Currency exchange rates also confuse the issue.
Having said that, the importers/distributors over here seem to do quite nicely for themselves. The dealers probably only make about 10%
The growing popularity of quality well priced Korean brands has certainly increased competition.
Anyway I guess that's the price of a big country with a small population
