I am glad you like it....cause if you didn’t, you would probably blame me. Lol

Next weekend I have to dig a 3 foot deep 250 foot trench.
I can’t wait. ;)

Did you get the shuttle or power shuttle?

Did you get the shuttle or power shuttle?

I got the stripped 6158 just the shuttle, easy enough for me. Had to stay south of 40Gs
I dug a 3 ft deep ditch about 30 ft today, to help drain a beaver pond.
I have dug up a few tree stumps, the more I use the backhoe the smoother and better I get.
I have no backhoe experience so sometimes I really have to think about the sticks. I wish the boom was more powerful but if it were I would probably tear the hoe apart. I have a 24 inch bucket and 12, I switched buckets from 24 to the 12 and could not pin it by myself, maybe I will get better at it next time I switch.
Also be glad you made those shoes, I do not like the way the stabilizers move around in mud. I will buy a set from you if you ever feel like making another pair.
Also, I almost buried the tractor in the mud, so close, I had mud on the oil pan. That is what the lack of any experience will get you, I am having fun learning and thank God for YouTube video. And Thank You for responding to my posts otherwise I would have probably bought a little subcompact Kubota or JD with my tractor loader backhoe budget.

The shoes do help a lot, but in wet clay, they pack up tight. When the clay is dry, they grab the ground very well.
If you really want some, I can make you a set, but a local welder would be able to do a better job and not have to mail them across the country.

Try putting the tractor in 4WD, set the parking brake, and make sure all four tires stay on the ground. That should give you as stable a platform as you can get.

I need something that will pierce mucky mud with rocks thrown in.
Thanks for the pointers on how to keep it stable. So really I should not put the stabilizers all the way down, because that does raise the back tires? I put everything in neutral and set the brake before I get out of the seat. So I should have the loader bucket just touching the ground?

I put some pressure on the loader, but not enough to lift the front tires off the ground. Same with the stabilizers and rear tires. The AG tires bite pretty well. Being in 4WD with the parking brake set effectively brakes all four tires.
