Im having a problem with it getting hot and shutting down to an idle, won't throttle up past idle until it cools back down , it does it after about 45 mins of brush cutting, I'm cutting with a 5 ft cutter in low 2nd gear , the temp gauge on dash doesn't the motor to be hot, i think it has something to do hydro fluid getting hot, is there a temp sensor some where that could be shutting the fuel flow down or some thing like that. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like motor getting hot, if it is you are doing damage to it so find out before you do it again. Does the temp gauge work?

It does seem like the motor is getting hot, the temp gauge seems to be working OK, its like the hydraulics are over heating in the trans. It has a brand new factory filter on it, I have had nothing but problems with hydraulics on this tractor I've have it four years and put less than thirty hours on it since bought it, and it only has 150 hours on it.

Have you used a temp gun to find out where the heat is generated.

A relief valve malfunction will generate a lot of heat. A pressure gage should tell you if there is a relief valve stuck, or being used.

On some tractors, the 3pt lever if left in the full raise position will put the relief valve in operation.

Are all hyd hose matched for the pump flow?

Do any of the fittings have restrictors in them?

If you install a pressure gage in the first valve after the pump, in neutral, there should be no or very little pressure in the hyd circuit.

If there is pressure, then something is blocking the flow, and that will cause heat.

A hyd shop can do a jud flow and pressure check for proper operation.

All the hydraulic still work, and no I have not put a temp gun to it yet, the hoses feel hot but not so hot u can't touch them, could a oil pressure switch cause it shut down to an idle, no warning lights come on , on the console, the oil needs to be changed but its not like way, way past due.

OK i will look in to getting the pressure checked, it only does this when I'm running the brush cutter.

Do you have a hyd radiator up by the engine radiator, and is it clean.

Hyd fluid should be in the 180 to 200 degrees range.

No it doesn't have hydro cooler on it just the radiator for the motor.
