This thread will be the results from a series of PTO Dyno test before and after modifications to the Branson 4815C. All thoughts and comments are welcome. Also, please feel free to post any Dyno results you may have for your tractor. I have been guilty of speculating or taking manufactures word for hp ratings and decided it is time to get some facts. I am very surprised at the initial test results!
Branson 4815C, Kukje A2300N2 diesel engine. 48hp claimed engine output and 40hp claimed at the PTO at 2600 RPM.
First test results with only 9hrs on the tractor and stock is 35hp at 540 PTO RPM. It hit 36hp when loaded down to around 500 PTO RPM but fell off quick after that. Net result is 35hp tested PTO hp.
Unfortunately, the location that did the test was not able to provide the graft as they don't have the printer for the Dyno.
I would have bet money that it would have been around 42 PTO hp and would have lost money. I do think it will get better as the engine limbers up some but sure thought it would be higher.
Next test will be after replacing DPF with standard muffler. Not sure if there will be a difference but seems like I should see a 10% increase. But, what do I know?
