Re: \'Branson\' and \'Farm Pro\' Tractors?
You're right...but tractors are not "socket sets". Until someone has owned and operated a particular brand of tractor it's hard to comment. I can't comment on the quality of any tractor accept Belarus 572 with 656 hours on it that I bought in 1992. I can comment on the Farm Pro 8240 because I have one; so far it's a great machine, very impressive.
I do find it amusing though when people make comments about "another" tractor that they've never owned or operated. We laughed at the Japanese in the 60's & 70's (cute little tin toys they made). We laughed at the Koreans in the 90's. Now we're laughing at the Chinese.....I see a trend. Even though all the compact and utility tractors are made "some where over there".
One final point. I'm sure that JD, NH, Kubota, MF, Mahindra and many other tractors are basically fine machines, but when I check the different websites and read the posts about repairs and operations, they all seem to have their moments of failure. As I'm sure Farm Pro's, Belarus and all the other brands also do (have their moments of failure).
Oh by the way (for what it's worth)...I only use Snap-on tools, because they're very good tools. In 1987 I went to Shanghai on a buying trip. On my Cathay Pacific flight from Hong Kong to Shanghai I sat next to a Snap-on buyer headed to his appointments....
