Branson BH76 backhoe dolly build

Hey all,

I just finished building a dolly setup to move my backhoe. It allows me to store it under my pallet rack out of the way. Hopefully soon, I'll get it on video with more pictures.

Looks nice. I have some pallet racking too and you can't beat it for strength and versatility!

Thanks, what you see is only a small portion of pallet racking I've used. I've built a mezzanine using pallet racks and made a wicked drop-down ramp to store ATV's riding mowers, snow blowers, and other equipment. Just haven't gotten around to getting pics of it yet.

What's your hoe weigh? Would like more pics of the bare dolly and what materials used and how easy it is to load and move. Thanks! Tomorrow will be fine, if you can get the pics on TBN by end of day...

Good lord, I didn't realize you posted! I've got to fiddle with the notification settings.

If you're still around, I'll scrounge some pics. The main cross tubing is the same as the BH frame. Moving it is relatively easy once you get it moving, particularly if the floor is smooth.

The most difficult part is mounting the dolly on the BH so I plan to modify it to aid in the alignment easier & faster.

It's a stock manual thumb. I plan to convert it to hydraulics. Here are a bunch.

The stabilizers are stored in the holders, it does two things, eliminates leaking cylinders, which would eventually drop the cylinders to the ground and it saves space. A bonus!

The setup shown allows me to position the top arm forward to decrease the overall height when it's stored under the pallet rack.

This is a simple setup to "rest" the bucket and keep it from curling any further towards the shop floor.

Forgot to add pics of the other end. When the BH is fully on the dolly at the main end, the front end is quite light, takes about 25-30 lbs just to lift it to install the caster bar on this end v

This is to show how the main dolly is secured to the BH with pins. I plan to tweak the design to make it easier to install & remove a bit better then I'll paint it all yellow.

So, there are two wheels under the operator station and two way down under the end of the subframe? It's not heavy on the bucket end? It doesn't look like the subframe would be enough to counterbalance the weight of the arm and bucket.
