Has anyone seen one of these in person. I believe they are made in the USA but have forgotten the name of the manufacturer. Can get one at cost from dealer that has dropped Branson. Seller says they have 1/2" thick sides...? Don't really need to maintain a driveway but will be doing lots of landscaping around new house. I'm pretty sure I can do what I need with my FEL/ratchet rake and my BH but looking for some input. You think it's worth $560?

I'm pretty sure they are made by Kodiak. You'll want to confirm this. Kodiak makes decent enough stuff, but it's not top-o-the-line. It isn't priced like it either.

If it really has 1/2 inch end plates, $560 could be a good price. It kind of depends where you are and the BB's width, which you haven't mentioned. You should verify which Kodiak model it is by comparing it with Kodiak's web site. I was under the impression Branson's version was the standard duty model, not the heavy duty unit.

Misfire

Okay, I think you are right. I'll check into it but I doubt it's worth the $560 for the 6' blade. I'll probably pass on it. Thanks for the info!

If it is the heavy duty model I would say it's easily worth it for the six footer, unless you have a builder close by and can bypass the freight charge. I have a HD no-name BB that looks exactly like the HD model on the Kodiak web site except for the color. I have been very happy with it. The dealer I bought it from, now long out of business, told me he got them from a supplier in the Chattanooga area. Kodiak is made in a suburb of that city, so I'm pretty sure that's who actually built it. I don't remember what I paid for it, but I think it was in the neighborhood of $400 to $500 back then.

Locally, a co-op handles the Kodiak standard duty models. If I remember correctly, they wanted between $500 and $600 for a six footer. By comparison, Tractor Supply's local price for a six foot standard duty County Line brand is $700.

Okay, I'll look into it. Did not know Kodiak was local. The shipper said he'd check it out for me while he is picking up my BH.
