HELP!!
I have a Branson F4350 Diesel Tractor-2001 that I purchased
new in 2002. I have used the Tractor a bit on my four acres, has low hours of use, and I have not overworked in any sense.
All of a sudden, the Tractor has extremely LOW pulling power,
lots of Engine trottle, Engine sounds great, no misses, no Engine noises, no Transmission noises of any kind, and the
Hydralics-bucket and back PTO lift, all work OK-lots of
lifting power. The oils are OK, and to correct levels. Once
the Hydralic/Transmission fluid was very low and I did add some Gear oil by mistake. WHAT IS GOING ON?? Would sure
appreciate some trouble shooting advice and comments on how to FIX!! By the way, No Branson Dealers anywhere near.

Phil, when you start pulling a load do your rpm's drop? Or do they stay the same and your tractor forward motion slows down? IF that is happening, you could have a clutch that needs adjustment or it may be going bad. Does the clutch pedal move normally with good resistance? Willie Jones

Is the engine RPM racing when you mention no pulling power ? If so it is possible that it could be the clutch, if not try a new fuel filter unless it is a fresh one, If you do replace the fuel filter, Poor the excess fuel thats in the bowl into a glass and let it settle to look for water. Just a few things to check out - Good luck

How much gear oil did you add and have you ever drained it or changed you filters?

Will it roll freely on a down grade ?
If not try to find out what is dragging, e.g. brakes set to "park" (-:
Seriously, if it will lift but not pull I'd be looking for something dragging - which COULD BE brakes.

THANKS! Did as you suggested, checked the Clutch, adjusted the linkage, and that did it. Have pulling to maybe 45 horses,
like the tractor specs say!! Thanks for the advice.
