Branson same as Century.. not according to Website

Ready to get a 4220 Branson.. so after all I have heard about it being the same as Century I checked Century website it shows 43hp as a 3 cylinder.. 4220 branson 42hp has a 4 cylinder.. so what gives..

Centurys aren't Centurys for 2005. They are now marketed as Zetors. If you go to Zetors web-site you will see the same 4cyl. tractor. The loaders are different though. In my opinion, Zetor(Century) has much nicer loaders, but they cost more.

I may have spoken too soon about Zetor.com. The web site does not yet show the 28-46hp tractors. Amjawa.com has a link for Zetor and Century, but will not let you open the link for the Zetor 28-46hp tractors. My Century dealer has the literature in print form on the new Zetors so I assumed it would be on the web. If there is a Century/Zetor dealer near you they will probably have the book too. The 2005 Zetors are exactly the same as the 2005 Bransons though, with the exception of the loader.

I agree. Century/Zetor is really shooting themself in the foot by not updating there web page. They could update their web page with very little expenditure in both time or money. More and more people rely on the internet for information and comparison. I am surprised the dealers and reprsentatives for Zetor have not done something about this yet.

I was supprised that the web-site was not updated. Usually the web-site is more up to date than the print literature. I have a new Zetor book in front of me right now. The tractor that you are talking about is the Zetor C42L. You can get either the C50 (2100lb lift) or the C50HL (2540lb lift). The Zetor loaders are a mid-mount design, and there are no arms or frame beside the hood. My Century 2028 has the C50HL loader. It is an exceptionally nice loader.

The new Century web site should be up and running soon. There is no question it is over due but it should be live in the very near future. The difference between Century and Branson is the loader, service and parts support. I think the Century may also have some different tire sizes. Century uses the C-50 loaders which are bullet proof and have the Joy stick mounted near the shifter. C-50 HL is the same but has a universal skid steer quick mount, lifts a few inches higher and has a higher lift capacity. Both C-50 loaders can be removed in under 60seconds without removing any pins. Also they will accept 67” or 72” buckets. Branson uses the Ansung loaders which are also a good loader my suggestion is look at both and you decide.

Funny you mentioned the HL50 can cross over and accept skid steer attchments...I was informed that this was not the case.

Anyway to verify this?? There is so much available in the way of skid steer attchments..

The C50HL on the new products have the skid steer adaptor plate.The standard C50 (NON HL) does not come with that feature
