On the rear axle, the shaft that comes out the side to the wheel leaks. Im no mechanic, so does anybody know if the rear of the tractor has to be all taken apart or is it a simple seal that just get popped in and out? Thanks

Not sure I understand which seal you're referring to?

Do you happen to have a picture?

I cant get pictures to load. The rear wheel attached to the shaft that goes into tge axle. Where the axle meets the rear housing it leaks.

You have to pull the axle to change the seal....

I think its been leaking. Ive cleaned it a few times and after running it always has some oil on the rag. Not alot of oil.

If its under warranty I would not worry about it the dealer will fix it ...

ON my mahindra 2810 the rear axle seal started leaking at about 800 hrs. cost me 350 bucks to fix.Had a farm mechanic shop do the work.

Won't take a whole tractor teardown. Dealer should be able to pull the rear wheel, and then get at it from just pulling the rear axle/hub out of the housing.

Can't see it taking a whole day if he's got the parts sitting there before he starts.

It may take a bit depending how how accessible the axle retaining nut is;
View attachment 20 series rear end and axle.pdf
lets see if this pdf file works

looks like the pdf attached,
as far as how long it will take it depends on how much has to come out and off to get to the axle nut,
if the cab has to come off it will take some time.
If it's not under warranty and the leak isn't too bad I'd just keep adding hydraulic fluid to her.
