After putting about 20 hours (2 years) on my sears trimmer with a B & S (Briggs & Stratton) 4-stroke fource engine I lost all compression on it. I've not had any luck with the local B & S repair shop or for that matter B & S itself. Their answer to the problem is that the ONLY repair possible is to replace the entire engine! At a cost of over $200 (That's more then I paid for the entire trimmer), I decided to replace the trimmer with a Ryobi 2-stroke. Has anyone else had any problems with this engine? Does anyone have any idea which way to turn the star bolt that holds the clutch on? I would assume it's a left-hand thread. Thanks. Doug
