Couldn't find a pressure washer sub-forum but I know you guys all use em and maybe have some detailed repair experience, especially with the pumps/unloaders.
B-I-L's TroyBilt PW with a B&S pump stalls right after starting, so I suspected the unloader was stuck. Pulled it apart and found its piston to be very tight and also had a little corrosion spot on the piston, so that's probably the problem.
My question has to do with the reassembly. Per the photo, the end of the piston is grooved for what sure seems to need a second o-ring. But according to the parts diagram, the only o-rings are the one in the wide piston groove and a second at the bottom of the piston bore, along with a fiber split ring. Anyone seen an unloader like this and have an opinion about adding another o-ring in the empty groove?
