Bringing a 135 out of Hibernation

Started working a garaged '71+/- 3 cyl gas 135 today. It was parked about 4 years ago running. Through a charged RV battery in and turned over, but no putter. I am new to this tractor, but have general exp working on an 87 jeep and other engines/tractors/lawmowers.

Pulled the fuel line off above carb and turned over, no fuel. When I looked at the glass canister under the tank, it appeared not to have filled at all. Thoughts? Is this just a collection canister? Do any of you all have a small dia.(about a nickel) inline fuel filter between the tank and carb?

Also was going to check for spark, but it appears the spark plugs are under the gas tank??? Is there any other way to check for sparks?

Here is my list of general maintenance

• New Air filter
• New Oil Filter
• Change Oil
• flush antifreeze
• grease zerk fittings/change as needed
  Also thinking about changing hydraulic oil as well.

What kind of general maintenance needs to be preformed on a brush hog?

Also how do you size implements to the tractor? Such as a disc or planter?

few things to check and some to do, first look for a fuel shutoff valve, if there is a fuel filter change it, will be plugged with goo from the old fuel. Back track the fuel line removing parts till you find fuel, make sure theres fresh fuel in tank. Get a points file to the points, not sand paper, or replace the points. check that voltage from switch is actually being sent to the ignition coil. the Mf 50 that I worked on this year had all these problems and others.

Change gear lube in rotary cutter, check blades for proper mounting to blade carrier, if there is a slip clutch check its operation, grease all zerks on the implement and pto shaft.
