Bro Tek Skid Plate

Does anyone here have the rear skid plate on alnog with the mid mount mower ??
My dealer tells me it won't work.

Rich, sells the rear plate for the MMM. In his instructions he asks that you contact him with the MMM model#. He's not the quickest replying to emails, but he will get back to you.

I have the skid plate with the 54" deck on my BX24. It fits and works fine.

I have the 60" model like I see you have. Do you also have the skid plate on at the same time ??
What adjustments if any did you have to make ?

I have the 54 inch mower, and put on the skid plate this past winter. Just this week went out and removed the PTO access panel, slid the mower under and other than (not reading to pull the PTO slip engage the lock so it snaps on) it was sufficient space to hook up the PTO with the plate on... I can see what the dealer will not like it...if they do your service it will add some time to replace a filter etc... put the mower on in 20 minutes and been out in the field...

I also found a 2 inch universal mount at "Sports Mans Guide" for a ATV (book said for small tractor mounts too) that has a 2 inch ball, clevis, and a hook universal that bolts on to the draw bar. It fits and does not interfere with the back hoe...nice to pull a small trailer around...was messing around and was pulling my H&H motorcycle trailer so it is pretty solid.

I have had Richard's skid plate on for a couple seasons, now. When my 60" deck is fully raised and the PTO engaged the shaft will rub slightly. Richard suggested I adjust the mechanism so it does not come up quite so high. I have never bothered to. Rather opting to simply not lift it all the way up when I cross the gravel drive or disngaging it altogether. I also believe Richrad has redesigned it so as to avoid this, but I could be wrong here.

I also remove the deck all the time to put the Woods BH6000 on and am a pro at this. Once you have the knack, although it is a little tight, its quite easy.

I put rear skidplate on first thing when my BX came off delivery truck. No interference, no adjustments. I transport mower in full up position, but don't run it at that height. I do raise it sometimes to clear obstacles while mowing, just not all the way. I don't know if it would rub running full up.

Difficulties I have removing/installing mower have nothing to do with BroTek plate. They have to do with my lack of experience with the procedure.
