I broke the 3pt hitch connector under the rear axle on my Satoh Beaver 373D. The part broke off where the lower arm connects to the tractor. The part is parallel to the rear axle and looks like it is going to be a pain to get out. Has anyone else had to replace this part? Is it welded or heated to install/replace? It looked like there had been a crack with some rust or corrosion where the part broke. Does anyone know where to get a replacement part? Looks like an easy fix if I can find a part and get the thing removed. Will have to remove the rear wheel to knock or heat the rod out.

Yes, that appears to be the part. Find a photo of the part after I took it off the tractor.
Thanks for the diagram. Do you have anything that might work?

I'm just an owner with some experience on getting parts. A decent machine shop should be able to fix that for you. Or you could try West Kentucky Tractor Parts
I have bought used parts from them before.

The part is no longer available from Mitsubishi. Do have a new one in stock.

Look familiar? Must be a common problem with these. I ended up going with a shaft which was the smaller diameter (ends) of the original for its entire length. Then used bushings/spacers where needed. I also moved the stabilizer bars to the inside of the plates rather than the outside. On the outside they create a larger bending force.

I also broke that part, twice now!.
I had a local machine shop copy it for me costing less than $100.
Now with 2 broken ones I cut and welded the 2 halves together for next time LOL.
Presently I am using some hydraulic cylinder shafting with bushings to fill the gaps.
In my case snow blowing and hitting hidden obstacles with the blower corner is the cause, puts a lots of stress on that shaft.

Mine happened when I was backing up a trailer loaded with wood onto a driveway approach ramp while turning. Had I backed it straight/in-line with the tractor I probably could have gotten away with no damage. Boy it would sure be nice to back up a trailer without having to turn often.

A front hitch is nice!
