well the tractor was barrowed not the hogg (that was mine) i was hoping to find a replacement shaft that connects to my hogg , i have old equipment (it fits my 600 very good) and i just bought the front part of this shaft ( this is the part that connects to the tractor) didn't see theother end of my shaft was hopping that maybe someone knows where i can find oneI assume you are talking about the PTO shaft that drives the bush hog and not the tractors dive shaft. If you broke the tractors drive shaft good luck with that oneIf its the PTO shaft and if it was me (after borrowing it) I would go a buy a new shaft for the guy. That would also be much safer than trying to repair it depending on what has broken.
i agree untill my ford broke i was keepin my field clean ,i don't know how or where this chunk of wood came from, i have two brush piles that i am planning on burning when the time is right, my hog is slated for a rebuild next ,i hope i didn't damage anything in the gearbox .That was quite a shock load to transfer to the PTO gear box area and the gear box on the rotary cutter.
thanks i never thought about that i have checked out rual king they don't have any that i can use ( other buying a new shaft). i'll give the closest dealer a shot.I did the same thing earlier this year to my bush hog. TSC didn't have the correct replacement shaft so I hit up the ag dealer down the road. I was able to purchase the correct shaft and yoke for a whole lot less than a new pto assy would have cost. Be sure to take in the old parts for proper match up.
