I'm new to tractoring and today somehow broke the stem of the inner tube on the front wheel of my less than 1 year old with about 50 hours on it, Kabota B3300SU. I was using the box scraper to level out a large hump of east texas black clay. The hump is about 30' wide. I would lower the scraper to ground level (tines dropped a single notch below the bottom of the scraper) and make a pass and then dump what got collected at the end of the pass by raising the scraper. In doing so I was making 1 - 2' tall mounds that I would drive the tractor over after each pass.
Am I doing something wrong in my approach of driving over the mounds that would have caused the stem to get broken off? I did not notice low tire pressure in the tire before starting.
