Hi, If your crank has bad journals you might look at having it repaired. I used to do that type of work back it the 60's. Look for a shop that does Spray Welding. They can Spray it and turn it back to the standard size. We used this on many cars trucks and race cars and it is better than new. Good Luck!
As long as it isn't broken then take it to a machine shop. They can turn the crank or send it out. I just had one done for my Welder/Generator. Of course you will have to get new bearings but that would have been regardless of the repair. I'm sure you already know not to reuse bearings. BTW; cost is not as bad as buying a new crank i.e. $78 to turn, $500 to replace.
