- Didn't intend to have a Deere fleet - it just happened 310C, F915,102, 5200 & 5065E
I'm in need of advice.
The left axle shaft of my F915 has broken. The break was at the splines inside the differential. The problem I'm having is removing the left axle housing. There is not enough clearance between the frame and the differential. There is a thick washer in a recess between flanges that prevents simply dropping the axle housing. The axle shaft has been already extracted. Getting the broken stub out is the next problem.
Is there any way to remove and replace the axle housing short of removing the differential and transmission ?
Any other tips or cautions would be appreciated too. The F915 drive train is identical to the entire F Series mowers.
