Kioti CK27
Hey all... I've been lurking for some time and I've appreciated all the good posts. I just picked up a new Kioti CK 27 and have been meaning to post some pics of the new toy! Sadly, today, with only 40 hrs on it, I messed up big time. If anyone has any ideas on what to do next, I'd certainly appreciate the tips.

In short, I managed to brake the lower 3 pt hitch mount. I had previously unhooked the lift rods, stabilizers and top link so that I could hook up my backhoe (Woods w/ subframe). For convenience (yah... I learned) I left the lower lift arms attached and had them tied to the subframe to keep them out of the way. Well, apparently it came undone, and when I backed up it became wedged in the dirt and snapped the mount clean off. I'm looking through the manual now to find out exactly which part broke. It kind of looks like the brake case? Hopefully it's not something bigger and part of the frame?

In any event... its broke. Pics below... sad panda here. Anyone have any ideas? I'm hesitant to weld cast even if someone was inclined to try it. Especially 1" thick. If it is the brake case, any idea how much of a pain it is to replace? (I've rebuilt car motors a few times and have a fully stocked automotive shop) For reference, its the left hand side that is broke. I attached a pic of the unbroken right side too.

Thanks!

If you financed your tractor you are required to have damage insurance on it, it is usually included in the loan ....That is damage....It should be covered if you are insured:thumbsup:

Paid cash... but I did insure it through State Farm... it was a hassle and a half getting them to insure it. I'll make a few calls tomorrow and see what they'll cover.

A friend of mine had that happen to his a year or so ago. Really wasn't a big fix or that costly.

Ouch, that hurts but stuff happens. It does look like the brake case as ritcheyvs advised. With your experience, you should be fine. The service manual will give specs as to torques and some limited info but you won't find it as usefull as a Motors or Chilton manual. The parts manual gives a good breakdown of all the parts and assemblies just as the page ritcheyvs posted. These are only available through a dealer or I've seen them on ebay at times.

Since you are handy, definitely DIY. A new brake case seems to be $324....not too bad, tho you may need
to pay shipping & sales tax, too.

For reference, 3-pt lift arm tabs on the JD 4x00/4x10, which break more often, is an $800 part.

You may be the first on TBN to have this happen on a DaeDong M27 tractor (same as mine).
