Broken shuttle shifter on a Massey MF40

Hello fellow Massey owners. My shuttle arm leading into the trans case along side of the high/low shifter has broke so now I would like to replace it with a new one. I haven't any experience in this and with two kids in college I cannot afford a pro so if someone could tell me what to watch out for as I disassemble the top plate and switch arms and then place back on, I would be greatfull. I have purchased arm, pins and gasket for the MF40 Industrial. It was manufactured around the 70's.
