Was doing maintenance to my L2800 HST, Hydraulic oil, filters, air and fuel filter and notice my seat suspension wasn't lined up. Bolt was broken... Problem shown in first photo, finger on the problem, h2nd photo. 3rd and 4th seems the "rod" was not all there... Pulled rod out in photo #5. In goes replacement bolt for #6 and 7... Cut the rod where the bolt meets it... 8 and 9 makeshift saw and we cut through...
Grind off other end... #12 crap in the hole - rotary Dremal to ream out hole... bolt lines up but worried that if the other end is not supported, it will bend and break... thus spacer, drilled out end cap (gas line).... spacer was too long, trim to size. Used a lock nut... barely enough room to fit all of this.... Final photo, got it all back together, the redneck way.
Have not tested it out yet, ran out of day light... Not really sure if I'll notice a change, I can say one thing, I have Bottomed out twice in the last few days (yea, I know lose a few more pounds...)
