Broken tie rod mount II

Well the new tie rod mount is significantly different from the old. I was going to get a pic up this morning, but it slipped my mind. I'll get one this evening. Obviously this has been a problem as the dealer has broken one on his tractor and the improved replacement is on mine. This worries me for the future. Anyone with any information on this?

Joel, I have never seen this issue on the 7010.......I have however seen some electrical problems.

Here's a link to some pics of what I'm talking about. I'd almost bet there is another tie rod mount in my future. Probably after the warranty is gone!

Joel, I think that I would ask why weren't both sides changed. Maybe mention to your dealer that it would be a bad deal to be driving along and have the tie rod end fall off from a previous unseen crack. I'm assuming that they fixed the steering so that it can no longer try to travel to far? Best of luck and I hope that you are the first owner of an 8560.

I too think they should replace both arms . The problem is that on a tractor fitted with a loader or one that has the wheels mounted for narrow track , the steering stops are adjusted to stop fouling . The weak tierod and drag link castings fail as the stops are contacted and the steering is held on full lock or the front tyres hit a rut . The arms are obviously under specked and really to help things a pair of adjustable stops should have been installed on the Pitman arm to stop the over extension at the other end of the steering system as well as the ones at the wheels .
