brown KK equipment ( 5 point )

I wa sby my local feed coop yesterday getting some bulk feed, and noticed they havd some clay-mud brown colored equimpment marked as 5-point.. ( closer inspection revealed that it was some makde by KK ) .. anyway.. the equipment was almost 20% cheaper than at TSC.. for instance.. a red tsc 5' KK is 564.. if you can find them.. and the new yellow ones are 597.. this brown one was 504! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Any ideas on this guys?

They just gave up on painting them, the kindergärtners had demanded a pay raise. That red brown is technically known as Iron Oxide.

The place is called mid-west hay, in ocala, fl. It is a feed coop place... they do business with nutreena and southern states feed. Probbaly 50% of marion counties feed, hay and livestock materials move thru there..

Darn I was hoping it was more down this way.

I tell ya.. the prices really shocked me.. 60$ difference between the red kk and this brownish '5-point', and even more $ difference between the yellow KK and the brown '5-point'. Its funny that the 5-point has in little letter..'by KK'

I also notice that it is of slightly different design that the yellow and red KK.. I wonder if 5-point is being outsourced to another slightly less expensive manufacturer.??
Anyone got the skinny on that?

My 4' BB is the yellerish Landpride color but has no name. The only thing is a sticker from the tractor dealer. It's a 4' with 3 rippers.
I won't complain at all.

My local co-op ( Massachusetts ) was selling Sundown brand inplements...re-branded King Kutter stuff. It was an odd color also.....Don't see it ther anymore....must not have been a good seller.
