I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but after putting the blade back on the motor spindle of my PT-180 after fixing a seal leak, the whole assembly came off when mowing a small area of grass.

I called Terry and he said they use Loctite Red 271 to keep the blade attached to the spindle. There are no manuals so I thought it might help someone should the problem arise. Regards.

One other note. A mechanic friend of mine suggested I have a steel angle welded crisscross on the top of the brush cutter to make the frame more sturdy. Has anyone else done anything like that?

Well, I managed to break one blade and bend another without doing any damage to the frame. I don't think I'd worry too much about that unless you really get into something freaky.
