Several Times I've just about had a limb go through my grill, and it would have damaged my radiator!, Or something else!

I've been planning to do this since last year, and finally took the time yesterday to get it done before I start cutting firewood!

It was a quick and easy fix!... I made a frame and welded the expanded metal to the frame, and then made brackets from angle iron and bolted the whole thing to the brush guard!

I only had to use 5 of the brackets...One on the top, and two on each side.

Looks great, you did a super job! If it had been me, I would have extended the brush guard about 6 inches above the crown of the hood and angle it back over the hood. Of course, you would have to figure out some easy way to hinge the top section so it could be flipped out of the way to raise the hood. Going over the top of the hood would help to prevent damage to it from stuff falling out of the top of the bucket, when it's curled back and raised all the way up.

When I get one built for my 790, that's how I'm planning to do mine anyway.

That certainly offers more protection than what you had. Nice Fab job!

I like to see good and practical modifications work out as planned AND another "suicide knob" believer.
Good job.
