I just put a brush hog on my 656 farmall, lifted it up, and now it wont go down. it went up and down before I put the brush hog on. it appears to me that it might have lifted it a little too high but I'm not sure. this is the first time I have used the three point on this tractor..

Is it possible it is binding on the drive shaft? I would grab the connection on the tractor and see if there is any movement at all.

Larry may be on the right track, sounds like something is binding. If the drive shaft is too long you can cause damage to your tractor pto shaft or gear box of the bush hog. I would try to elevate the tail wheel of the bush hog slowly with a jack and some blocking if possible. You could also try to shorten the toplink (pretty tough with the bush hog hanging). If you have a hill close by you could back into it with the tail wheel to relieve the weight and change the angle on the lift arms and drive shaft.
