goin thru used bb48 I just purchased. Previous owner had wrong blades on crossbar, therefore blades wouldn't rotate on shoulder pins. Put correct blades on after grinding all rust off stumpjumper. Blades still don't rotate on pin shoulders. Looking at parts for sale, found stump jumper and crossbar as two separate items. My existing one is welded to each other. The existing stump jumper is not flat so I believe this is why they won't spin on pins. My neighbor says "run it" and they"ll loosen up. Should the stumpjumper and crossbar be welded as one unit, or is it OK to buy 2 separate items and bolt on? I have already taken stump jumper/crossbar off and reassembled hoping to find cure for non rotating blades.

Mine has welds holding the crossbar in place.
My bb48x vibrated when the welds broke.
I replaced with new stump jumper.

Thank for response. I've never seen them not welded. Will call supplier, I may have misinterpreted schematic. If not, will look for stump jumper and crossbar as one unit as they do take a beating.
