My 84 inch Land Pride weighed in at 380 pounds. My 96 inch Rhino weighs 1100 pounds.

As you would expect - the difference is outstanding.

I've looked a lot, I do my best to maintain an open mind in regards to color. Where it's made with how it's made is my primary concern.

Just one metric looking for the heaviest duty 8' blade (non-hydraulic for this just because that's a lot of variable weight):
RB1584 rear blade weight 284#
Brushhog 100 series 84" rear blade weight 836# (lightest 8' blade was 572#)
Dirt Dog 70 series 84" rear blade weight 572#
Rhino 70 series 8' rear blade 572#
EA 84" rear blade 645#

Even if it's weaker steel but more of it to equal a better steel from Land Pride (which is doubtful) double the weight does a lot more work for you. Again, that's a single data point and not enough to make a decision on in my mind.
The 15 series rear blade is Landprides lightest blade.

The 15 series rear blade is Landprides lightest blade.
The lightest on their site is the 05, but it doesn't come in 8'. I thought they made a 25 but I only see it offered as a hydraulic 45/55, if you have a link I'll update the data.

ETA found the 37, not sure why they don't list it with the other blades.
RB3784 rear blade weight 630#
Brushhog 100 series 84" rear blade weight 836# (lightest 8' blade was 572#)
Dirt Dog 70 series 84" rear blade weight 572#
Rhino 70 series 8' rear blade 572#
EA 84" rear blade 645#

sea2summit - you are correct. My Land Pride was a manual 2584. I'm pretty sure they made the manual 2596 at that time also. It appears that they no longer make those units. They now make the 26 series.
