I have a 2005 TC40DA. All of a sudden my bucket wont lift without playing with the control. I pulled the control valve and everything appears ok...no broken spools or missing parts. I can hear fluid blowing by ..Help !

Check your quick disconnects to make sure one isn't partially disconnected.

I checked those...seemed to be ok .. The fluid is rolling by the raise /Lower part of the valve and you can hear it.
..If I play with the handle I can get it to raise even with a load..but the only way to drop it is in full float.

The valve is very clean and free from any scoring or cracked spool rods...very puzzling ..curl works fine

Most spools have load checks, and are used when shifting positions, and keep the load from dropping. Check those out. The reason you can drop the load in float, is that the float position connects all ports to tank.

If you had a hydraulic gage, you could solve just about all the hydraulic problems.

If the valve has a relief valve, check that also.
