New owner of a 4720ch...
I have a question about the bucket operation..
When I have the bucket level and on the ground, going forwards or reverse, an object that is above grade will cause the bucket to raise (curl) when it goes under the bucket, the loader arms stay put... also I'm not in float position.. Is this by design or should it be locked in place by the hydraulics...
I know the FEL manual says to use the heel of the bucket for backgrading, but that's not what I'm doing, I'm trying to clear some rocky soil and it get frustrating when the bucket keeps lifting. I'd like to get a skeleton rock bucket for clearing (Texas Hill Country) but if the bucket keeps lifting up I'm not sure it will be very effective.
I've also tested by pointing the bucket straight down and the bucket will curl up on it's own as I drag it in reverse.
all other FEL functions work as expected.
Dealer wasn't much help and they're a long drive for service if this is actually by design...
I appreciate any help on this...
