bucket for JD 485 backhoe

Hi All,
I need some help finding a supplier for a backhoe bucket
for a JD 485 backhoe. I believe they are the same as
what fits the JD 48 backhoe also.
What I am looking for is a wide, ditching style bucket
with no teeth. 24-30" would work.
JD has nothing available, and I contacted Ameriquip
and they also had no bucket that style. (they are the
supplier to JD for the hoe)
I checked Amulet, Construction attachments co, Tag, and
no luck so far.

I've been looking for buckets for my 448 also and made this little list from the info on JDParts to help me figure out what fits what. Maybe it'll help you:

There seems to be two different "groups" of buckets. "X" means it fits "-" means it doesn't according to JDParts anyway.

I am in a similar situation with an Amerequip 8600 hoe, except that my "want" is for a 12 inch bucket for trenching.

I think Amerequip also OEM'd that hoe to Bush Hog, Montana, Bradco, Branson, Century, whoever all else bought in tractors from Korea and emlem engineered them for the US market.
I tried getting a list from Amerequip, didn't get far with that.
You might have better luck visiting local places with your pin dimensions (& spacing).

I "SUPPOSE" a decent weld shop could put a couple of pairs of "Ears" on almost any bucket if you took an existing "known to fit" bucket in for them to use as a pattern ?

Who does heavy equipment repair (welding) that is local to you ?

Just make it VERY CLEAR which one is to be converted to become like the other one (-:

Here's a 24" on eBay. $500 or offer. Has teeth but that could be fixed.

Well it is 3yrs + since you first posted this thread.

I am also looking for a 24"-36" ditching bucket for my JD 47 backhoe.

What did you end up doing?

I am in Canada which makes things ever more difficult, but am almost willing to go anywhere to find.
