Does anyone have chain-on bucket forks (ebay item No. 280024942241) from Yankee Warehouse? Do you like them? Any complaints? Do you recommend them? I am looking at them for a Kubota B7500 HSD with LA 302 FEL. Sorry, I can't seem to set up a direct link to the ebay auction.

PM Mad Referee and he will send you plans to make some nice clamp on ones. I've just gone through the same thought process. He says his can be made for $50-75 in materials. You will end up paying that in shipping with the ebay ones.

Roxy, The load binders (2 required) will run almost $50 for decent ones if you don't already have some..... BobG in VA

PS on the load binders. Of course not matter which kind you ultimately get you will need the binders (usually not included with forks). I would suggest the ratchet type vs the "pull, strain, and lock up" type....Just a thought. BobG in VA

roxynoodle: Thanks! :) I have been following your thread on forks, also. My application is similar to yours: stacking/unstacking of square hay bales and some lifting of light implements. No pallets at this time. The offer from Mad Referee is very generous, however, I have not welded for over 20 years, and then only enough to really appreciate and admire what a good welder can do. My son learned to weld at work, but neither of us has ready access to the required equipment. Besides, I have enough other projects without taking on the fabrication of forks. BTW, shipping for forks and binders from Yankee Warehouse is $28 to my ZIP. I would prefer ratchet binders, and might buy them locally. Still considering.

Ok, the other guy who was including the binders with his forks on ebay quoted me over $50 for shipping. Sounds like the ones from Yankee Warehouse are a better buy then. If you also buy binders from him, I wonder if he charges extra shipping. I don't weld either, but my neighbor does it for a living and I sent him the instructions on Mad Referee's clamp on ones and have his interest. He is currently putting back together an Oliver tractor with a FEL and I think he wants some, too, to load his hay. I'm sure the chain and binder ones work fine, just thought I might prefer the clamp on ones.

roxynoodle: The shipping for the lever binders is currently free from Yankee Warehouse, when they are bought with a set of forks.

Then he has the better deal. If my neighbor doesn't make me the clamp on forks, that is probably what I will buy, too.
