Not sure which form to post in but hope this will work.
I added a bucket grapple to my FEL on a M6800 Kubota. I used a diverter valve from Bailey http://baileynet.com/hydraulics/solenoid_valves it is a 12 V solenoid and the last on the page (220-934). It seems to be the same valve as Surplus Center did have. I can hear it click and see the light on it when it is energized.
I connected the valve using the curl valve from the FEL hydraulics. With the power off the curl functions as it should, and when the valve is activated thydraulic fluid goes to the grapple cylinder. When I activate the soleniod to control the grapple, the grapple cylinder does not work. Each line will pressurize, but the return flow does not go back to the tractor.
I have disconnected each line in turn at the front of the tractor and each will work the cylinder, as it should, but the hydraulic fluid is pouring out onto the ground. It acts like there is a check valve in each line that will only allow flow out ,but not back to the tractor.
I used standard 3/8 hose and ag couplers from Surplus Center. I have couplers at the FEL valve and at the front of the tractor. This is if I want to disconnect either the grapple (bucket) or FEL. To make sure I don't confuse the lines, I used a male and female at the value and front which will only connect to the opposite connector on the hose. Similar to a skid steer set up.
Do any of you have any ideas?
Thanks,
