Bucket keeps coming off 1 side

40 h.p. cub cadet.The bucket keeps coming off when i do any minimal back draging w/ bucket turned down.I am thinking of having my welder buddy cut a bolt hole through both the connecter plate and the bucket itself.I never swicth it out because i dont have anything else yet to put on it.Just wondering if anyone else has had to do this....its just the left front that does this....some thing must be worn out,but it all looks the same from one side to the other !Aggitating as it gets i might add!!!!!!!!

Post a picture of the latch system on the offending side. History has shown that if the bucket comes off one side enough times, the cross tube will become twisted. Then you will come to know the price of a quick coupler. The latch system should prevent the latch pin from sliding up out of the bucket hole.

SixHoeBob speaks sage wisdom. I recently experienced a twisted and bent quick attach adapter when my grapple became detached on one side.

I bought my QA bucket & adapter as a set for my tractor from KMW, the original manufacturer of my FEL thru a Mahindra dealer and my bucket did the same thing brand new. I paid over $1200 for the set. It appeared to me the unit wasn't manufactured properly and the fit wasn't too good. I simply drilled a hole on each side, thru the adapter and bucket ears and stuck a 5/16" bolt thru with a nyloc nut. It adds about 1 extra minute to changing the bucket over just moving the QA handles. My bucket stays put now when I back-drag materials and has worked now for about 7 years. The bolts aren't actually taking the load of back-dragging, just keeping the bucket from lifting up off the adapter pads.
