Kubota Grand L3830 HST with LA723 FEL and HD bucket
On my new L3830 I noticed that the Bucket Level Indicator was rubing on the Hydraulic hoses on the LA723 FEL.

Both hoses were intially on the out side of the indicator rod. I relocated the lower one inside and tried readjusting the upper so that it would clear the rod when moving the bucket.

In the photo you can actually see where the black of the hyrdaulic hose was rubing off on the indicator rod.

Im' not sure if my bucket level indicator was installed correctly.

After readjusting the hoses I still had trouble with the rod rubing the hoses when moving the bucket all the way down and all the way in. I could not keep the indicator rod from rubing on the hose no matter how I positioned them.

After this picture was taken I removed the snap ring holding the outer tube of the bucket level indicator and positioned the tube on the top side of the pivot instead of the bottom. I also relocated both hoses inside of the the indicator rod. This eliminated the rubing trough out the complete travel of the bucket.

Be sure and check your hoses my lower hose already has a grove worn it with less than 12 hours of operation.

I'll check mine in the morning and let you know which way it goes. I'm pretty sure mine does not criss cross like yours. I also cut down the rod to just what I needed. Having all the extra sticking out is a problem working in brush. I believe it is the manual that talks about cutting it down.

That's how I have mine now. I had to also flip the outer tube (that attaches to the upper part of the ram) so that the tab faced down. I've seen them mounted both ways. With the tab facing down I have no rubing what so ever.

Hopefully other will check there hoses and indicator rod for clearance so that they don't wear a hole in in the hyrdualic hoses.
