The bucket on my Yanmar V1A Loader uncurls slowly even when empty.
I think the left cylinder is the problem.
I looked at a few hydraulic sites but saw nothing like the cylinder I have.
Mine has a long smaller tube on the upper end(about 11 inches)
The total body is about25.5 inches.
See Pic.
Thanks for any info.

Have you done a cyl test?

One of both cyl seals could be leaking.

What is the max pressure you get at the max extend or retract.

Thanks J.J.
Uncurls about an inch every 10 seconds.
The left cyl is loose (can move it on the pins) when curled.

I haven't the equipment for testing.

Sure you do.

Reset your QD's first.

Remove the rod end pins .

Plug right cyl hoses.

Then, retract the left cyl and remove the rod end hose and retract some more, and see if fluid flows steadily from the cyl port. If it does, then you know the seals are leaking.

Do the same test for the other cyl.

Add a tee and QD's or mount it In a tee in the IN port of the FEL valve.

HI J.J.

How do I plug the hoses?
I don't have quick disconnects.

I'm back
I guess I am going shopping.
I may be thinking ahead but IF I need to rebuild or replace the cylinder
I need a source for the parts. Is there a site that can supply V1A parts?

Your dealer would be the first place to go to.

Any good hyd shop can measure the piston and bore and find you the parts.

Looks like someone "added" extensions to those cyls,
never thought you could do that, neat idea.
Maybe one of the seals got damaged when he welded the extension.

I suspect the extensions are factory since they are required for the self leveling feature to work.
