Budget-friendly machine for 15 acres in Maine?

I had a pto chipper for a while. Sold it. Much much faster and easier for me to burn. You may find the same. Chippers are expensive too. Put some thought and research into that decision.

It'd be worthwhile to put an ad in Craigslist/Uncle Henry's for what you're looking for. There are often package set-ups for sale/trade by homeowners that don't get the hours a contractor, rental yard, or farmer puts on them.

Brown40, thank you very much for the suggestion, that's a great idea.

I'm in the process of putting together a list of models from the various manufacturers that I think would be what I need (the smaller machines in the 25-30HP range) to get a sense of comparison. There are so many options though (I think New Holland by itself makes 4-6 different 25-30HP models!!!!).

Lots and lots of research....!

Take a ride over to Union ME, Union Farmequipment is a great firm, they sell Kubota, but the Green tractor dealer is right next to them! Ask for Ben Simms or Ken Kieran, they'll take care of you!
