Any of you guys in the USA any experience of owning and using Budget Clamp On Tractor Bucket Forks Pallet by Paynesforks ?

As usual impossible to get anything like this in the UK so may import.

Seem really cheap but I am not going to be lifting anything really heavy (my loader states 200kg max)

They are on Ebay at Budget Clamp On Tractor Bucket Forks Pallet Kubota John Deere by Paynesforks | eBay

Thanks in advance

No, sorry I have no experience with these but seems to me you can make some from metal in the scrap pile maybe even a little sturdier depending on what rating and dimension of steel you use. Get all the materials you need and layout the design on paper and weld it up. Even if you have to buy the steel and clamps and pay for welding it should be cheaper and sturdier than these. Good luck..... KW

I don't want to be negative but clamp on forks are just what they say, they clamp on. When you drive into an object to pick it up they slide around, no matter how tight you get them. I had a set of them and i scraped them because of that reason. Also the fork being set on the end of your bucket means the load is farther away from the pivot pins on your bucket thus decreasing your lift capacity. They are cheaply priced but with cheap you get other issues which just are not worth the hassle. Hope this helps . . . .John

Agree 100% with all of the above. Add to that the fact that you can't see through your bucket to be able to hit your target properly. I had a set. Got them simply because I could have them delivered quickly to me when I had a truckload of stuff being delivered to the house soon after. As soon as I could afford a set of real forks, the Payne's went on Craigslist and were gone soon after.

Thanks to you all for your replies/advice. 55 years tells me you generally get what you pay for and as someone else said to me recently buy cheap buy twice!!

I sent you a private message in response to your message. I'm not getting auto notices from TBN even though I am subscribed.
