I just purchased a set of 42" 5000# forks off craigs list for $80.00 Picked them up saturday. They look in great condition. Local yards wanted 250 - 300 dollars for lighter duty models. Now have to scrounge some angle and plate steel to mount them.

I talked to a forklift dealer/repairer a few years ago and after talking with him on price he said **** just take them 
. And I had some angle laying around and fabbed up a nice lift all for the cost of some welding rods

Just curious, do I see welds where the forks hit the bottom crossmember? In other words, will your forks slide sideways?

Nice Job.. It just dawned on me.. If you were to weld a couple of eye hooks on the back vertical you could then drill a hole in the middle of the bucket and chain the thing down so they wouldn't lift when dragging backwards.

Very nice job. I like the quick hitch mount.
A few ideas to consider:
You could always add the top works for protection. The one I made bolts on. You could bolt to the channel.
I added some pins to mine so I could back up to my Speeco quick hitch and use the forks behind the tractor. The 3pt has a much heavier lift capacity which I use when carrying a 300 gallon tote of water. They probably would fit inside your Bobtatch so your would also work front or back.
Consider a chain hook on each side, near the top. Mine are used much more that I ever expected to.
