bulldog/donfeng, kama/taishan

As a newbie I've been reading a lot of the posts, especially about the Chinese tractors. I've got 15 acres of mixed property, mostly hills and wooded and am looking for a tractor with fel. I've been trying to read as much as I can and had a few question:
Am I correct in that prior to '05 models the kama/taishan 35 hp (TS 354) was used in the bulldog/donfeng equivalent units as well as others.
The '05 bulldog/donfeng now use a 3cyl not a 4 cyl. Do you guys think that is a significant change.
I also noticed the bulldog/donfeng appear to have a 2 yr warranty vs. a 1 yr.

Bulldog is Eastwinds brand name for their tractors. The Kama(Taishan) 35hp ts354c is 4 cylinder (485). The Dongfeng 35hp is 3 cylinder (395). I think Eastwinds is discontinuing The Kama tractors. I see only a few in stock now. I own a Kama ts354c with a loader and I love it.

Did you go with the regular koyker loader or the quick detach. How does $10,500 sound for a price? Thanks

My loader is a chinese made loader and it is a quick detach loader (not bucket). I have owned a koyker 160 loader and was pleased with it. I use my tractor both with and without the loader. If you are asking if 10,500 is a good price for a 35hp tractor and loader I would think so but I have not been tractor shopping lately. You have to be comfortable with what you pay. Price is only part of a good tractor deal. Good luck

Kris I own the KAMA 454 w/Koyker 195 loader. I live outside of Middletown, NY ... presumably pretty close to you. Although a bit larger than what your looking at your welcome to stop by and give it a test spin if your interested ... Scozz
