Bumber for 5500 fwd

Do any of yall have or made a good bumber for a 5500 fwd, other than the factor one, the dealer put a brush guard on it when i did the 50 hr maint, but its not to heavy duty at all.
i am in the process of trying to make it more heavy duty.

A couple of pics of what I made for my 6500. the holes on the top are to attach a hood protection. I also added a canopy, and mounted lights up there, so was not too concerned with the standard headlights.

Mainer, i like your hood protection idea, what/where did you attach the rear part of the hood grill to? Pics woudd be good too. thanks, chuck

It is attached to a cross piece that rests on brackets that are on the loader arms. This same support is used for the canopy. Had a fair size tree backfire and fall on it Sat. I just when it happened, and didn't have to worry about getting facial reconstruction surgery.

The arms in the air - front of tractor - are grapple arms on forks. It will take a large amt. of brush.

Here is one I made for my 4530. I don't have a FEL and I didn't need a full cage, just something to keep the limbs out of the grill. The bumper is kind of narrow because of the turning radius of the tires.

The materials used were:

(1) piece of 4"x27" pipe
(2) 4" pipe end caps welded on
about 8' of 2 1/2" x 1/2" flat stock for frame
(2) 7 1/2" x 9" x 1/2" plate for brackets
30" x 30" perforated metal for screen (cut to fit and welded in place)

I think it turned out pretty nice and is there to stay.
